The Sammy D foundation is in place to educate young people on the impacts of bullying, and drug and alcohol fuelled violence as well as offering mentoring services to vulnerable young people aged 7-17 years, living in metropolitan Adelaide.
Established in 2008 after the life of 17-year-old Sam Davis was tragically taken following a one punch attack., as a fiercely loyal young man with an ability to form friendships, Sam made a huge impact on many. From an early age and throughout his life, Sam showed integrity and strong values, defending those being bullied and treating others with respect.
Fifteen years on, Sam’s message has been shared across a number of schools, community groups, and sporting clubs, raising awareness and educating over 200,000+ young people about the consequences of violent behaviour, and the risks associated with alcohol and drug misuse.
By providing relevant, age-appropriate knowledge and tools, the Sammy D foundation is empowering young people to make positive life decisions, for a better community.
