  • You will have access to our premium features such as:

    • Verification of your own account
    • Ability to add multi-locations so you can create and attend callouts in other locations (great for travel)

    • Callouts can target only verified members
    • Duplicate past callouts
    • Attend Crewmen events

  • The following restrictions are in place for Basic plan members:

    • Cannot verify own account
    • Cannot add multi-locations
    • No member benefits (discounts)
    • Callout search location radius is fixed to 25km
    • Can be interested to only one Callout at a time
    • Can be going to only one Callout at a time
    • Can create one Callout per month
    • Created Callout goes to whole membership; Premium plan members can target a Callout to only verified members
    • Cannot see or duplicate past callouts
    • Can see but cannot attend an event
    • Cannot share an event
    • Cannot attend volunteering
  • Verified members have increased trust as they have had their identification confirmed.

  • The cost for profile verification is included in the Premium subscription plan – $9 per month or $90 per year. The ability to upgrade to Crewmen Premium is coming soon! Watch our socials for this exciting feature launch.

  • Using the camera on your smart phone, your proof of identification (passport/drivers licence) will be recorded and instantly compared against a live video stream of yourself. This information is only at the time of verification and is discarded once complete.

    Verification is a wholly digital process, for a profile to be verified the comparison process score of 80% and above to be successful.

    If the verification process is unsuccessful, subscribers can still enjoy all the benefits of Crewmen Premium.

  • Crewmen app uses your current location in order to find the perfect matched Callouts for you around your location.

  • How is my location used with callouts?

    • In your account settings, there is a setting for location radius.
      • So if you’re a Crewmen Basic user, your radius is set to 25kms
      • If you have Crewmen Premium, the location radius can be varied between 1-200km
    • Crewmen will attempt to match you with callouts and events where your mobile device is within your set location radius.
      For example; a Crewmen Basic user will have access to callouts within 25 kms of their mobile device.
    • To change your location radius you will need to be on the Crewmen Premium plan.

     

    Do I see different callouts as I move location?

    Yes, as a Crewmen users’ mobile device location is the centre point of their set location radius, new callouts will be matched as their location changes.

    Therefore, callouts might appear while you are in a particular location and then potentially disappear as you move (if they fall outside of your location radius). So make sure you tap ‘I’m Interested’ to keep access to the callout.

  • Events within 200km of your location will be shown. Volunteering or Crewmen social events can only be attended by Crewmen Premium members. Pre-registered Crewmen have access to this feature with the rollout to all users coming soon! Watch our socials for this exciting feature launch and in the meantime check out what you can get involved in.

  • Callouts have the following restrictions:

    • 24 hrs prior to a callout date/time – deletion is disabled.
    • 2 hrs prior to a callout date/time – editing is disabled.
    • 2 hrs prior to a callout date/time – hidden from the public & no more attendees accepted

    To edit or delete a callout you have created swipe left on the callout and tap the trash or edit icon.

  • The Crewmen app collects only mandatory account information for each user including:

    • Name
    • Email
    • Month and year of birth (not the full date of birth)
    • Short biographical profile
    • Profile photo (selfie)

    This account information is encrypted at rest (on disk storage) and in transit between servers and devices, it is not shared with any third party for any purposes and is visible (except email address) to other Crewmen within the app when members interact with a callout.

    Crewmen Premium have the ability to verify their account. Using the camera on their smartphone, proof of identification (passport/driver’s licence) via camera data will be recorded and instantly compared against a live video stream of the user. This information is shared with our third-party identity verification service to validate the user’s identity. This data is immediately destroyed after the validation process is complete.

  • For Callouts that you have set as I’m Interested you will receive the following notifications:

    • Two days before the callout start time to remind you can set your status to Going.
    • When there is one place left in the Callout maximum number of participants.
  • Apple

    With an in-app subscription, you can unlock Crewmen Premium features, and services. Here’s how to purchase an in-app subscription on iOS:

    Step 1: Log in to the Crewmen App.

    Step 2: Tap on the menu icon in the top right of the app screen.

    Step 3: Select the subscription package that suits your needs – monthly or yearly.

    Step 4: Tap on the “Subscribe” button to confirm your purchase.

    Step 6: Enter your Apple ID and password if prompted.

    Step 7: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

    Step 8: Once the purchase is complete, Crewmen Premium features and services will be unlocked within the app.

    That’s it! You can now enjoy the premium features or services that come with your subscription. Keep in mind that your subscription will renew automatically unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You can manage your subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

    Google Android

    To purchase an in-app subscription on Android, please follow these steps:

    Step 1: Log in to the Crewmen App.

    Step 2: Tap on the menu icon in the top right of the app screen and tap on the Subscription menu option.

    Step 3: Select the subscription package that suits your needs – monthly or yearly.

    Step 4: Tap on the “Subscribe” button to confirm your purchase.

    Step 6: Enter your Google ID and password if prompted.

    Step 7: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

    Step 8: Once the purchase is complete, Crewmen Premium features and services will be unlocked within the app.

    To subscribe to a subscription using a coupon code, you can follow these steps:

    1. Download and open the latest Crewmen app, signup and complete your profile.
    2. Navigate to the subscription page in the side menu.
    3. Tap on the Redeem a coupon option on the next screen.
    4. On the next screen, Enter the coupon code you have for the subscription and tap “Redeem”.
    5. The discount or offer associated with the coupon code will be applied to your subscription plan. You can then go ahead and confirm your purchase and complete the subscription process if you like.

    Note that coupon codes are typically time-limited and may have associated specific terms and conditions. Be sure to read the terms and conditions of the coupon code before redeeming it to ensure you understand how it works. Once the promotional period has ended, your subscription will be automatically renewed for a month or a year, depending on the plan selected.

    Google Android

  • Apple

    Here’s what you can do if you’re missing a purchase of an iOS in-app subscription:

    Step 1: Check your purchase history. To do this, go to the “Settings” app on your iOS device, tap on your Apple ID, then tap on “Purchase History.” Look for the subscription in question and make sure it shows as “Purchased.”

    Step 2: Restart the app. Sometimes, the app may need to refresh to recognise your purchase. Try restarting the app and see if the subscription content or features appear.

    Step 3: Check your internet connection. Make sure your device is connected to the internet and try again.

    Step 4: If you’re still not seeing your in-app subscription purchase, please contact our customer support.

    Step 5: If our customer support is unable to resolve the issue. Contact Apple Support for further assistance. You can reach them through the “Settings” app on your iOS device.

    Keep in mind that it may take some time for your purchase to be recognised by the app, especially if you’re using multiple devices. If you’ve recently made the purchase, try waiting a few hours before checking again.

    We hope these steps help you resolve the issue with your missing in-app subscription purchase.

    Google Android

    Step 1: Check your Google account: If you can’t find your subscriptions, check that you’re signed in to the correct account. If this isn’t the Google Account that has your subscriptions, switch to the correct account.

    Step 2: Check your subscription status: Go to the Google Play Store app on your device, tap on the your profile picture in the top-left corner, and then tap on “Subscriptions.” You should see a list of all your active subscriptions. If the missing subscription is not listed, it may have expired or been cancelled.

    Step 3: Restart your device: Sometimes simply restarting your device can resolve issues with missing subscriptions. Press and hold the power button on your device, and then tap “Restart” or “Reboot” when the option appears.

    Step 4: Clear cache and data for Google Play Store: If the above steps did not work, try clearing the cache and data for the Google Play Store app. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear cache and Clear data. Note that clearing data will remove your app preferences and settings, but not your app data or downloaded apps.

    Step 5: Contact support: If none of the above steps worked, contact Google support for further assistance. You can do this by going to the Google Play Store app on your device, tapping on the three-line menu icon in the top-left corner, and then tapping on “Help & feedback.” From there, you can search for help articles or contact Google support directly.

  • Apple

    Here’s how to cancel an iOS in-app subscription:

    Step 1: Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device.

    Step 2: Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen.

    Step 3: Tap on “Subscriptions.”

    Step 4: Find the subscription you want a refund for and tap on it.

    Step 5: Tap on “Cancel Subscription.”

    Step 6: Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.

    Google Android

    Here’s how to cancel an Android in-app subscription:

    Through Crewmen:

    Step 1: Log in to the Crewmen App.

    Step 2: Tap on the menu icon in the top right of the app screen and tap on the Subscription menu option.

    Step 3: If you have an existing Crewmen subscription, app will show the Cancel Subscription button on the screen.

    Step 4: Tap on the Cancel Subscription button and follow the on-screen instructions to cancel your subscription.

    Through Google Play Store:

    Step 1:  Go to the Google Play Store app on your device, tap on the your profile picture in the top-left corner, and then tap on “Payment & Subscriptions”.

    Step 2: Tap on Subscriptions: From the menu, select the “Subscriptions” option.

    Step 3: Select the subscription to cancel: A list of your active subscriptions will be displayed. Select the subscription that you want to cancel.

    Step 4: Tap Cancel Subscription: You’ll now see the subscription details on the screen. Tap on the “Cancel Subscription” button.

    Step 5: Confirm cancellation: A pop-up will appear asking if you want to cancel the subscription. Tap on “Yes” to confirm the cancellation.

    Step 6: Check for confirmation: After you cancel the subscription, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Google. Check your email inbox or spam folder for this confirmation email.

    Step 7: Turn off auto-renewal: If you don’t want to be charged for future subscriptions, you can turn off auto-renewal. Go back to the subscription details page and toggle off the “Auto-renew” option.

    What happens after you cancel:

    When you cancel a subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the time you’ve already paid.

    For example, if you buy a one-year subscription on January 1 for $10 and decide to cancel your subscription on July 1:

    • You’ll have access to the subscription until December 31.
    • You won’t be charged another yearly subscription of $10 the following January 1.
  • Apple

    Here’s how to request a refund for an iOS in-app subscription:

    Step 1: Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device.

    Step 2: Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen.

    Step 3: Tap on “Subscriptions.”

    Step 4: Find the subscription you want a refund for and tap on it.

    Step 5: Tap on “Cancel Subscription.”

    Step 6: Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.

    Step 7: After the subscription is cancelled, you’ll be able to see the “Request a Refund” option. Tap on it.

    Step 8: Choose a reason for your refund request and provide any additional information.

    Step 9: Tap on “Submit.”

    Step 10: Wait for Apple to review your refund request. It may take up to a few days.

    If Apple approves your refund request, the refund will be processed and credited to your account. The refund amount will be based on the time remaining on your subscription at the time of cancellation.
    Keep in mind that if you’ve used any of the premium content or features during the subscription period, you may not be eligible for a full refund.

    Google Android

    Here’s how to request a refund for an Android in-app subscription:

    Step 1: Go to play.google.com.

    Step 2: At the top right, click your Profile picture.

    Step 3: Click Payments & subscriptions.

    Step 4: For the order you want to return, click Report a problem.

    Step 5: Select the option that describes your situation.

    Step 6: Complete the form and note that you’d like a refund.

    Step 7: Submit the request: Tap on the “Submit” button to send the refund request.

    Step 8: Check for confirmation: After you submit the refund request, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Google. Check your email inbox or spam folder for this confirmation email.

    Note that the refund request will be reviewed by Google, and it may take a few days for the refund to be processed. Also, refunds are not guaranteed.
